Robotics 2018 States Competition

The Alvey Robotic Sunrays is a robotics FLL team that has been started to help increase student awareness and interest in science and engineering. The Alvey Raybots began in 2008 as a small group of students and teachers that got together to work with the robot. In 2013-14, the team reached a milestone and placed 2nd in the robot game at regional competition and advanced to the state competition at James Madison University. Our 2015-16 team earned the Gracious Professionalism Award at the November regional competition. Our 2017-18 and 2018-19 teams once again took Alvey to the state competition at JMU.

Robotics provides opportunities for team members to explore and research a specific science and technology field and will be taught the values of "gracious professionalism." Our team coaches help instill the values of teamwork, science inquiry, and respect. We look forward to continuing to build our teams and helping student get interested in science and engineering!
